I was moved to say "flipping heck" when I heard Adam Boulton say in a recent broadcast that the funding row was wholly Gordon Browns problem and could not be tied to the previous incumbent of 10, Downing Street.
David Abrahams was openly telling a man who by no account was a friend of his (Jon Mendelsohn), of his curious way of donating money to New Labour back in April/2007. Who was New Labours chief fundraiser at that time, none other than Lord Levy the appointee of the previous Prime Minister.
So if Adams thinking is correct you do not tell your secrets to your best friend you confide them to your enemies. Adam should consider these oft quoted words from an old and much loved TV comedy programme : I did not get where I am today by not recognising a "sting" when I see and hear it.

I am completely open minded but I really do think that Jack is pretty sincere, and if all M.P.'s had his apparent characteristics, no matter what party, I would be very much happier.
Do you think I am naive, or just a simple middle aged person, almost 69 but in wonderful condition, who genuinly believes that the older you get, the wiser you get!
Effie, we are about the same age, so I know that you will agree with me, and although you have expressed your hatred of anything related to the Tory regime, I would love to think that you could accept that maybe their policies have changed a little from the old days. Dave may be posh, but it doesn't mean that he is stupid, and there are lots of posh people in the Labour party!
