DavidcameronThis week on Sunday Live we have David Cameron appearing on the show, and we want your questions to put to him.

So post them in the comments and we'll try to get you an answer.

My question will be: 'George Osborne signed my copy of the Francis Elliott and James Hanning biography of you - can you guess what his message was?'

Clue: it's connected to an Italian dessert and a former North London restaurant.

Tune in to hear the answer.

That's Sunday Live at 1000 this Sunday.

How does David Cameron propose to simultaneously cut tax, stick to Labour's spending plans, and put aside "something for a rainy day?"

Is this all just fuzzy math?

Are you not embarrassed that the only high profile candidate your party could come up with for the London Mayoral elections is a national joke?

Dear Mr Cameron,
You talk about individual and social responsability alot - is this indicative of radical change within the welfare system under a conservative government?

Mr Cameron, will you challenge SKY on the tax-dodging antics of its effective owner, Rupert Murdoch, and on his vast cross-media ownership and will the Conservative Party have the courage to speak out against the corrosive effects of such media hegemony on democracy? Are the Tories democrats or plutocrats?

Mr Cameron, just about your first policy was to redebate hunting. You've made it clear that you want hunting to be legalised. The current Government spent weeks of Parliamentary time on this. Do you really think the country wants a new Tory administration to waste its time reintroducing something whose time is long past?

The Treasury is refusing to cooperate with the Scottish governmemt's proposals to introduce a Local Income Tax to replace the Council Tax by threatening to withhold the £400m of Council Tax rebate which Scotland currently receives. Would a Conservative government withhold it or not?

David,

Here in Australia both main parties are for tax cuts, why aren't you? Is Kevin Rudd really more conservative than you?

BORIS JOHNSON? ACTUAL MAYOR OF LONDON?

IF YOU WERE DOING AS WELL IN THE POLLS THEN, AS YOU ARE NOW, HE WOULDN'T BE TORY CANDIDATE WOULD HE?

Will you publish an itemised breakdown of YOUR expenses, in order to show up the greedy snout-in-trough MPs who are trying to block the publication of their own expenses?

Are you aware that Lord Wakeham's job at Enron was to ensure that the accounts were in order? Is he the right person to be speaking for our party on such an important issue as immigration?

Does Mr Cameron PERSONALLY now support re-classifying Cannabis back to Class B-I know it is Tory Policy but he was a non dissenting member of the Home Affairs Select Committee that wanted downgrading.

Mr Cameron, you may have noticed the recent controversy over two primary schools in Bristol withdrawing pro-gay material intended for five year old pupils, after protests from Muslim parents. Which side do you support ?

What exactly would we lose if the UK came out of the EU? Conversely, what would we gain?

Mr. Cameron. Why is the Conservative Party MEP candidate selection process so undemocratic? Why have you not reformed it so that members can have a real choice and a chance to vote out those MEPs who have gone native?

David Cameron, Why did you shut down your Webcameron blog at Christmas without saying good-bye and thank you to your internet community? It was disrespectful and unappreciated. Barack Obama would never treat his internet community in such a shabby manner.

Mr Cameron - do you regret Labour won the 1997 election?

This posting is so hectic, my head is spinning! Just shows you how desperate people are to have change in Britain.

Do you believe that Tax Freedom Day should be earlier than the end of May/beginning of June?

Adam
It appears Sunday live should be extended to accomodate all the questions the bloggers have put forward...would 10 hours do the trick.

Will you give us assurances that you will repeal the Civil Partnership Act and reinstate Section 28, so that we can begin to rebuild an ordered and civilised country?

What will you do if you form the next government to cut down on waste of taxpayers money in the public sector?

WILLIAM HAUGE.. As a potential Foreign Secretary.

You’re havin a laff; aren’t you !!!

Are you happy with the fixing of the MEP list selection by EUphiles?

Should our Conservative controlled County council build several small waste incinerator/power plants or one large one?

I think several small incinerators may be better environmentally but may cause planning problems and reduce the popularity of the scheme.

26 Labour MPs have signed a motion calling on the government ot reverse the budget tax hike on low income earners. The wording could have been written by George Osborne:

ABOLITION OF THE TEN PENCE TAX RATE
02.04.2008
That this House notes that, despite assurances to the contrary, many people are being made worse off by the abolition of the 10 pence tax rate; notes with concern that this is having a disproportionate impact on people who can ill afford to be made worse off; accepts that this was not the intention of the Government but is dismayed at the response to the plight of those adversely affected; and calls on the Chancellor of the Exchequer to bring forward measures to correct this damaging change to the taxation system."

Will you, Mr Cameron be supporting this motion?

Where does David Cameron stand on the issue of the vanishing country of England?

What is the tories attitude to those who belive in England the country and the English as a nation? Is he man enough to declare himself prouly English?

In January 2008 you said you supported parents who lie ( YES LIE ) to get their child into a good school.

Do you also think giving headmasters brown envelopes stuffed with cash is also an acceptable way of gaining access to a school?

Also would you be so keen on these ideas if your eligible child, who obeyed the rules, failed to gain access to their school of first choice because someone else who fiddled the system took their place.

I can't recall how many times over the past few months that I have read the introduction to a thread, thought about what I wanted to say, written down the salient points and then discovered that Madnurse (or Victor) has said it for me; and much more eloquently to boot!
Such is the case with Madnurse post at 12.26 today and I can particularly empathise with her final paragraph.

When the world is praying for a democrat to win the US presidency; why do you back McCain, a man who is in his seventies? Yet you derided Ming Campbell as too old to lead his party, but he is still much younger than McCain.

Stunts such as life size Brown ale bottles, 99 red balloons, and Tory party members donning Alistair Darling face masks. Do these antics confirm Brown’s assertion that the Tories are more akin to student campus politics than real world politics; and wouldn’t you agree that these stunts are very very naff.

Why don't you hold Brown to account more often on the true inflation rate as experienced by all who, unlike MPs whose bills are paid by the taxpayer, are faced with eye-watering increases in energy, fuel, council tax, food, car tax etc. etc.?

Mr Cameron. Because I want an English parliament, so I can achieve some equality of life with the devolved countries, you called me a "sour little Englander". Do you now wish to withdraw the insult and apologise for making it? Or will you remain adamant that Scotland in particular should continue to benefit from UK apartheid at a cost of some English lives?

Eric in Exeter said "Why didn't the Tories oppose the doubling of the 10% tax band?"

Eric, the Conservatives lead by George Osborne opposed the budget, This was one of the matters which they raised.

They raised it before when BBrown put it in almsot as his last words in his 2007 Budget speech as well.

I, though without power, am a Conservative and I have written about this con-trick on the poor several times in this blog. In common with many others I have said that I would not have criticised this measure at all if it had been accompanied by measures to ensure that those in receipt of a single minimum wage per household should pay no Income Tax at all. That would have meant raising the personal allowance to about £10,000 per year.

That might have meant leaving the next band at 22P in the £ but that would still have been tax neutral for most whilst leaving the poor without the added tax burden. People with incomes over £40,000 a year would pay more but not those on low incomes.

Why have you continually lied about being off the fags.

Re the NHS : Could you tell us whether there is a difference between "free at the point of need", and "free at the point of delivery"? The former suggests charges for those less "needy" among us, and is a direct quote from your speeches, whereas the latter is the current Government's position and not so ambiguous.

In light of the recent Parliamentary report confirming that there is no "net gain" to the UK from mass immigration, do you favour caps across the board & a finite upper limit to the UKs population?

Will you be prepared to renegotiate certain treaties with Europe & the UN so we can gainn full control our own borders, if you are elected Prime Minister?

In March every year, numbers are published on child poverty and the earnings of the poorest people in our nation. However this year the Government intends to bury them and they will not be published until May 2 - the day after the local elections, this is because the figures are expected to show a massive increase in child poverty, real problems for pensioners and the poorest in our society. Further evidence that this Government is crooked.
Do you not agree that Governments should be required by law to publish annual reports/official statistics at a set date and not at their choosing?

How important is branding and political marketing in contemporary British politics?

Why didn't the Tories oppose the doubling of the 10% tax band?

OK some people can try to get familly credit to make up the shortfall but pensioners and single people can't.

You have made Political gain since but did absolutely nothing to try and protect the poor from New Labour's Tax grab.

The question from James Stevington pretty much hits all the nails on the head.

The ultimate question is very simple: "What does the Conservative Party stand for?". As a former conservative voter it appears to be pretty much nothing now that the brand has been destroyed.

Will he confirm a moritorium on all A&E and Maternity closures? Andrew Lansley seems to be suggesting he would in fact leave it up to local areas to decide, which is very different, and not what the tories were saying previously

Will you actually make a real pledge to slash Government waste and, in particular, cut funding of QUANGOs to pre-1997 levels (taking into account inflation)?

Also, any chance of you throwing the words "Green taxes" out of the Conservative party's lexicon?

Dave, would you be so kind to hold proper independent inquiries when you take office and expose Labour falsehoods covered up by the numerous whitewashes we have endured over the last decade+ . Vindictive I know but it would keep me entertained at least!

As an alleged democrat, why did you ditch all pretence of democracy and meritocracy when you rigged your Party's candidate selection for the European Parliament?

What can a future Conservative government do to help our manufacturing industry?

If you win the next election, will you stop the closure of special needs schools?

If the Americans can buy 179 Airbus inflight refuelling aircraft from Airbus for $40 million see press reports, why is the UK government paying £13 million ($27 million) for just 14 aircraft of the same type under a 27 year PFI scheme? (both deal snnounced in the last 2 weeks) What are the Conservatives doing to hold the government to account?

Why did you lose the last three General Elections?

What have you done to alter your party's position?

How has the membership changed?

Will you give the country a referendum on the Lisbon treaty?

Should Britain stay in the EU?

Would you like to apologise for your part in Black Wednesday?

Who, in the Presidential race in the US, would you prefer to work with? (none of this nonsense about not being bothered etc..)

When you lose the next General Election, will you stand aside for No.5?

Gary

Mr Cameron, will you promise the electorate that you will return integrity to political life and that your government will always focus on the best interests of the nation?

Who would you say is the most unpleasant person in the House of Commons?

Mr. Cameron, Will you introduce a fairer system to replace the ever escalating Council Tax?

Mr Cameron:

Traditional Conservatives of which I am one believe that, taxation is at an all time high under this government. Why do you, Mr Cameron state that you will keep Labour's current spending levels, bearing in mind that, it is not how much money is spent that counts, it is HOW that money is spent that is important. Did you learn nothing from Mrs Thatcher? We need to cut down on quangos and "non jobs" within the public sector. We could save a fortune by cutting the level of bureaucracy in public services and still keep sevice levels high and reduce the tax burden on everybody.

Do you, Mr Cameron think that gender and race is a more important factor in deciding potential Conservative candidates than their ability to do the job?

With both of the main parties fighting over the middle ground and each abandoning their traditions and core supporters to attract these middle ground voters, do you feel that traditional supporters of each party no longer have a party that represents them and no real choice means no real democracy.

Should we not consider putting on hold the climate change agenda until after we come out of the current economic downturn? Most of the measures favoured by the green brigade will cost us a fortune to implement and are likely to limit our ability to be competitive, so would it not make sense to put the green agenda on the back burner for a while until we know how deep the recession is going to be and how long it will last?

How would you answer someone that has been a Conservative for over half a century and now feels that the party has been taken so far away from it's roots and core values by you, that she is now thinking for the first time in her life to vote for another party, perhaps UKIP or the BNP?

Is there anyway Gordon Brown et al can be held to account for the falsehoods given regularily at PMQ's....The latest example being Harriet Harman saying that the tax burden is smaller under Labour than the previous Government...This is nonsense...It really does turn people off.

Without any equivication, or dare I say spin. Please tell my viewers just what you will do in relation to the Lisbon Treaty. Will you promise, in your manifesto,to hold a referendum if, as appears very likely, the Lisbon Treaty is endorsed by both houses?

Why doesn't he punish the PM more on the catastrophes of his 'prudent' management of the economy. Announcing the gold sale [creating a buyers' market], the gold sale itself [and his investment into US dollars], PFI, bank regulattion, increasing tax burden - all of these would puncture Brown's fragile aura, yet he confines PMQs to showboating, gurning, feeble jokes and abstruse whiffle about parliamentary procedure.

O[When Will I See You Again] and enjoy my [Three Degrees] of life?
Question, If the chancellor introduced a 3 tier car tax system, (ie: Cars £500, Vans £1000, Lorries £1500) per year, would you abolish national congestion charges and allow rail users to enjoy the freedom of oyster no matter what time they travel?

All I want to say to David Cameron is "seaze the day".
