Ask Gordon
19 May 2008

Cyberspace probably seems the safest place for Gordon Brown right now. A few days before Crewe and Nantwich, Downing Street have launched an initiative with Youtube, inviting questions from you the public!

Submissions need to be in by June 21st, which supposes the famous "men in grey suits" won't come a-knocking on Friday morning.

It seems a decent idea, though "Relaxed Gordon" still doesn't do it for me. It may be some time before this Prime Minister looks as comfortable in front of a camera as he did, for example, delivering a sober oration at the Church of Scotland assembly on Saturday.

I'm afraid it is out of Cameron's control to inplement changes in Britain.
It is Brown who is the "boss" at present, write to him on "Youtube" as he has asked you to do.

a fortnight as nearly gone since the council elections and what as brown done. nothing, whats he going to do about it nothing since last week i have seen price rise at the shops petrol gone up another 4pence a litre diesel at 1-26 a litre whats brown or cameron done about it nothing

My father was in the Raf during the second world war to stop Germany taking over our country!! Why do you proceed in giving our country away. We are now a third world nation

Brown will just say interest rates, inflation, employment, have never been so good why then does he have to borrow 43 billion pounds this year. Its all a fudge .The tax burden is over Broon no more ,

i would ask gordon is his party taking anything for there immigration diarrhoea.

This must be a joke, everybody know's he'll answer all question's with the same old spin laced party polictical broadcast.I'm so fed up with his downright lie's,there must be someway to force an election.

Just watched Gordon Brown on Sky with his "Youtube"offering...he was smiling, very strange almost sureal, I am now more convinced he is losing his mind.

How about a petition...Ask Gordon.
"Ask Gordon to go", maybe then he will get the messgae, Britain doesn't want you or your government.

My question would be:

Gordon, the 10pct fiasco proved that either:
a) You do not understand simple maths.
or:
b) You lied about not understanding simple maths.

So, which is it? Are you an idiot, or a liar, or both?

Here's a question for you Gordon.

Seeing as Ms Smith has decided to tackle the yobs with actual police again, becuase it was clear that simply putting taxes up on alcohol isn't doing the trick.

Why hasn't that tax on alcohol been reversed?

If the tax wasn't working on tackling binge drinking and only real policing could take that problem on, why am I, as a middle aged hard working man who doesn't parade through the streets in a denim mini skirt, drunk out of my mind and getting into fights with other yobs, still paying through the nose for a civilised pint down my local?

In the words of Del boy, 'you are a plonker Gordon'

The PM that listens - we want a General Election to get rid of him - sorry didn't quite catch that.
The man that leads - David Cameron has a web site - maybe I should have one too? I've no vision for the future but if i keep spouting things the Tories have suggested maybe the electorate will think I'm in the real world after all.
Presumably any cost incurred with Gordon trying to improve his deflated/flat image will be borne by the taxpayer. If so, other parties should also be able to communicate with the electorate on a similar basis. The taxpayer shouldn't be paying to advertise Gordon Brown and the Labour Party, particularly when both are way past their sell-by date.

and the point of a question and answer site where the person in question doesn't answer the question ..is?

Spent public money like a drunken sailor on shore leave - recruited an extra 1 million public sector workers (only 40% front line workers) and almost all building projects (schools & hospitals) were on PFI aka the never, never.

Destroyed the pension system. Sold the Gold. Created Tax Credit Fiasco.

And instead of putting the brakes on an over heating housing market, he fitted a turbo charger. Now in a tail spin.

Despite 15 years of growth, we're going into a downturn - skint.

And you're trying to save your skin by buying the Banks bad debts with even more taxpayers money. And we won't know who or how much they're getting. Until it's all over!

Now after 11 years, he admits he's only learning. Oh and he's listening...

Good. Remember the local elections a couple of weeks back? And the London Mayor?

See the polls this weekend? You're 20 points behind.

Crewe & Nantwich. Safe Labour seat? You're 8 points behind.

Message is clear.

Hear this: Call an election so we can start to rebuild our country - so battered by 11 years of New Labour.

Whenever the question comes up about should there be a referendum on major issues. The answer from labour front benchers is, we elect polititians to make decisions for us.

This clown then sets up this stupid question and answer site. He is supposed to be THE GRAND LEADER!!!!!

I don't know about men "in grey suits", perhaps men "in white coats" would be more suitable, as I am sure Mr Brown is delusional.
Maybe he should get a new career as a Church minister instead.
As to asking people to post questions...very dangerous, I would not like to hazard a quess what some will ask him or even tell him, you have to feel sorry for Mr Brown he is becoming desperate.
Perhaps he should have lunch in a posh London Bistro with his old mate Tony, and get some advice.

It won't be the "men in grey suits" that are going to come from Gordon soon but those in white coats if he carries on the way he is at present.

Take that speach he made as you mention to the Church of Scotland assembly, have a look at exactly what he said and it is shocking and scary the mis-interpretation of the "parable of the talents" that is made.

If he cant see what the moral of the story is compared with his interpretation then the man is clearly more delusional than previously thought.

This is the man in charge of the country, scary.

Joey,
I shouldn't imagine that a 'Relaxed Gordon' will do it for the majority of people, and I'm sure that his responses to questions will be the usual ones that we hear at P.M.Q.'s, i.e. long term policies, getting on with the job etc. etc.!
Delivering sober orations to Church assemblies is an ideal, full time, job for Gordon, and the sooner he realises this, the better!
