Could the new London Mayor be regretting his victory in the election?
Guido Fawkes points us to his Henley constituency's local paper.
In a heartfelt letter to The Henley Standard, Boris writes of his dismay at losing "just about the loveliest seat in the House of Commons" stating that "it will be a huge wrench for me".
Speaking of his future successor Boris says he is "jealous" that they "will inherit the second most heavily wooded constituency in England (fact) and far and away the most attractive".
Can Boris ever learn to love London with such verve?

I would take that as the best compliment with added [Buck Fizz, Henley, as it it really difficult to be [Making Your Mind Up] without those who made your day!

We will all miss Boris Johnson here in Henley on Thames, let's hope we get another top MP. Following Mr Hesseltine and Mr Johnson means, who ever takes over has a real challenge on their hands to keep up the standard.
I just hope we can select our own prefered candidate and not have one forced on us on the basis of their gender or ethnic origin. I want to see the best person for the job standing based on their ability alone.

Just goes to show that Boris loved his constituency with a passion. I wish more of our MP's had that quality.
